Licenses
Our license, and what it covers
Florida licenses pest control businesses location by location and certifies operators by category. Here is what this business holds, and which of our services each category covers.
Business license
FL Pest Control Business License #000000Demo license number. A real client's Ch. 482 number appears here.
Issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for this business location and renewed every year. A license is issued only with a certified operator in charge and the insurance the law requires.
Certificate categories
Three categories, and only three
General household pest control
Ants, cockroaches, spiders, silverfish, fleas, ticks, wasps, rodents and the rest of the pest library apart from wood-destroying organisms, plus mosquito treatment in residential yards.
Termites and other wood-destroying organisms pest control
Subterranean and drywood termite treatment, termite monitoring stations, powderpost beetles and WDO inspections for real estate sales.
Lawn and ornamental pest control
Fire ants in the lawn, snails and slugs in landscape beds, and pests on the shrubs and ground cover around the house.
Fumigation: not offered
Fumigation is a separate certificate category. We do not perform it and do not advertise it. If a home needs it, we say so and explain how to choose a licensed fumigation company.
The rules we work under
Every employee who performs or sells pest control carries an identification card issued by the Department, with a photograph and signature, and shows it to the customer on request. A WDO inspector's card also shows the special training. The Verify a technician page explains how to check it.
WDO inspections for a real estate sale are reported on form FDACS-13645, a copy is kept for three years, and a notice is posted next to the attic or crawl-space access. Our inspectors carry errors and omissions insurance. The WDO inspection page explains each step.
We advertise only under our registered business name, and only services inside the categories above.
